For a period of time probably 15 years ago, my wife, Marcy, and I would meet Flip for dinner when we came down from VT to visit my mother in Lima. He was as thoroughly enjoyable then as he was many years ago. An oversized personality that will be missed!

Flip was a good friend throughout Jr High and UDHS.  Shared many laughs.  A few of us went to dinner and were remembering him.  I don't think any of us knew he had passed the day before.  rest in Peace.  Don't get into too much trouble up there with Bob Wilson!!!

Flip and I were the best of friends growing up in Westbrook Park.  Walked to school together every day, went to Westbrook Park BSA Troop 111 meetings every Friday night, and camping trips every month, even in the winter.  He taught me how to "sneak" our favorite cream puffs and jelly doughnuts from the nearby bakery into our backpaks while waiting to depart from Trinity Church for each camping trip.  Once a black bear raided our tent and did not leave until he or she devoured our stash of baked goods--just one example of how being Flip's friend was exciting and fun!  I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing at our reunion.  I love you and I miss you and I will never forget you, Flip.  With love from your bro., Carl Kannapel

Flip and I grew up together in Westbrook Park. He was a good friend and always had a smile in his face. Sometimes getting in trouble for being the jokester. I moved to Drexel Hill but we reconnected in UDHS  My condolences to his family  He will be missed
