Steve was an unbelievable talent. From Keystone to Bywood to Beverly Hills to Upper Darby.

I met Steve when he transferred into Bywood School for 6th grade.  At that time, he had been studying piano for only a few months but had already surpassed me after my years of practice.  I remember with great fondness his adaptation of Ravel's Jeux d'Eau for performance by our Concert Choir.  It was dreamy and wonderful, an experience I'll never forget.

Steve Knox said it right, he was "an unbelievable talent."  In Don McClean's song about Vincent Von Gogh there is a line about, "This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you."  Not sure if it true but it seemed true when I listened to his piano.  How did Steve die?

This is my recollection from some years ago: his older brother posted to another site (Classmates.com?) that he took his own life or died from a drug overdose.

Steve lived across the street from us on Larchwood Ave.  We loved it when the weather was warm enough to have the windows and door open.  He would practice and play the piano for hours.  He was an awesome talent and always a friendly guy!!
