James D. Ristine, of East Berlin, PA, was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and Millersville University.  James retired from 35 years of teaching science at Bermudian Springs High School.  He won the Great Teacher Award sponsored by WGAL in 2005. He authored seven books utilizing his collections of vintage postcards. He was an avid collector of postcards, and he combined his interest in history to author fascinating books in a collection called the Post Card Series. One such book entitled Abraham Lincoln: An Illustrated Biography in Post Cards; another of the series is on Atlantic City; another is on the history of clams, oysters and scallops.
