Such sad news to hear of Sam's passing. All of his classmates who attended the Class of '66 reunions will forever remember his "May Day" film that was the highlight ef every gathering. Rest in peace my friend.
Well Cheryl and the gang, the best I can hope for te the 60th is to be in good health. Most of us will be 76 to a 78 years old! The plans sound wonderful and the CC remains one my favorite places. Y’all enjoy the summer, I know I will as I am depression free!!
Hello to all my “old” friends! And a shout out to Harvey Schwartz whose post I just read. My life has taken a bit of a change. Unfortunately, after 32 tears Anna and I have split. Our house in Media had to be cleaned out to get ready for sale. I have gone from 3,600 square feet to 460! I live in a suite at Chestnut Ridge Senior Living Center. As part of “assisted living” everything is done for me, which I like as I can’t cook and don’t do laundry. But I have surrounded myself with lots of things I like from my Steinway reproducing roll operated piano to a cherished hi fi stereo that plays all media (reel to reel tape, CDs, cassettes, LPs, etc). Only here two months, I am getting a TV installed that will include a DVD player, the cable box, and a soundbar for better sound. I just got a coverlet with a cool galaxy/constellation theme. And a 24 inch Apple computer complete with desk, swivel chair, and stereo speakers. Last but not least I have a video projector to play movies on an 80 inch screen. I have been a film buff forever and we have a movie theater here with a nice collection of films and a popcorn machine. The staff put me in charge of this theater! Well, I better stop here. With fond best wishes to all, Sam Samuelian
HI CHERYL,
I WAS JUST LOOKING AT YOUR GRADUATION PHOTO AND IT REMINDED ME OF THE TIME I WAS TAKING MOVIES AT OUR MAY DAY EVENT. I GOT OUT OF GYM SINCE I HAD FLAT FEET(!) AND THEREFORE WENT TO THE CUSHY CORRECTIVE GYM. I WAS POSITIONED HIGH ABOVE THE FIELD AND TOOK 8MM MOVIES WHICH ARE STILL HERE FOR THE VIEWING TODAY. IF THIS WON'T MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE COMING FROM A MARRIED MAN--I THINK YOU STILL LOOK WONDERFUL AND SO PRETTY. ONLY A FRACTION OF OUR CLASSMATES BOTH GIRLS AND GUYS CAN SAY THAT. HERE IS A VIDEO OF THAT TIME:https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=SAM+SAMUELIAN+MAY+DAY
YOU SAW ME TAKING THE MOVIES AND PRANCED RIGHT UP TO ME FOR A CLOSE-UP. THEY FOR SURE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS!!
Hello Lee! I have thought about you many, many times over the years and was especially frustrated that we could not get in touch. I hope you get this message and that you attend the reunion. I remember you so very well. The smart, cute, and always vivacious girl who shared many classes with me. Thanks to Facebook for the opportunity to communicate and thanks to you for the birthday wishes. I'm not so good navigating FB, so I hope you will see this comment. With love, Sam.
